The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) recently hosted a seminar featuring health experts from International SOS Philippines to impart their knowledge and skills on occupational safety and health.

Under the theme “Transforming Workplaces: The FAB Health and Safety Leadership Seminar,” the event saw participation from leaders in Human Resources and Occupational Safety & Health from various companies within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

The seminar was led by distinguished speakers from International SOS Philippines, including Dr. Louis Conradie, Professional Adviser for Medical Services; Mr. Steve Weston, General Manager; and Dr. Joel Andres, Medical Manager for Medical Services.

The interactive sessions highlighted best practices and strategies for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.

Following the training, AFAB arranged for the guests to tour several manufacturing facilities within FAB, including Essilor Manufacturing Philippines Inc., GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co., Mitsumi Philippines Inc., and Perpetual Prime Mfg. Inc. The visits provided a first-hand look at the operational safety measures implemented by these companies. The initiative underscores AFAB’s commitment to promoting workplace safety and health, ensuring that companies within the Freeport adhere to the highest standards. This seminar marks a significant step towards enhancing occupational safety and health practices in the region.
